User guide for the self-service onboardingThis page describes how to create an Upload Data Request and how to prepare an onboarding.

Upload Data Request

Upload Data Requests can be used to request data from someone, and receive an email notification when the recipient uploads the requested file. The recipient also receives an email when a new Upload Data Request is created.

After the file is uploaded the prepare onboarding page is opened, where the recipient can start a new onboarding by using the uploaded file as input.

An Upload Data Request is created automatically when a user is invited for a new collaboration, see Benutzer für Datenaustausch einladen

Also, it is possible to create an Upload Data Request manually by selecting a folder on the Data View and clicking on the Request Data button:

An onboarding can be started by following the steps:

  1. In the first step, Share Data, upload a file, select the content type, the data provider and the target location

  2. In the second step, Confirm Format, check if the right file is uploaded and loaded correctly. If you need it, please fix the file format and reload the file.

  3. In the third step, Gather Information, specify the mandatory standard attributes.

  4. In the last step, Start Onboarding, verify the inputs and click on the button to start onboarding. A new Job is created and you will receive an email when the processing is finished.
